I still think Ragnarok is a good game. Maybe even great. But I couldn't give it more than a 7.5/10 due to the story. In an attempt to appeal to as wide of an audience as possible, they stripped away every bit of edge that god of war has always been known for. Shit, even avengers endgame was heavier than this.
The first one can be found on Modvitnir's Rig in Svartalfheim inside a Legendary Chest, while the second can be found in Alberich Hollow in the same realm, but only if Kratos has obtained the
This was my exact same reaction lol, I googled God of War ragnarok reddit discussion and found a thread titled discussion on another sub thinking it was a discussion thread but the body of the post was 15+ bullet points of things wrong with the game wtf Game's loved pretty much everywhere but I've just seen tons of hate on reddit.
I had a PS4 before I was a PC player but I’ve been a PC player since like 2016ish but I’m in the same boat, where I played GoW 2018 on PC and fell so in love with it that I bought a PS5 JUST to play this game lol. Having a blast so far. 35 votes, 15 comments. 480K subscribers in the GodofWarRagnarok community.
Hi I have got an issue with ragnarok. So i want to enable high FPS mode in god of war ragnarok. I have got all the proper hardware but the option is still disabled. I have got a Philips android tv 4k 55inch which already supports hdmi2.1, the game is running on ps5 which has 120hz enabled and vrr also enabled. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks
I'm not sure what ragnarok calls it, I haven't played the game yet. But it should be two separate modes on the PlayStation pro. Performance and resolution. Performance downs the resolution of your screen if you're playing on 4k or 1440p, and upscales the texture quality at the cost of lighting, edge, and shadow quality.
DdID. I'm normally a pc gamer, but I have a PS4 as a backup. I caved and bought the game instead of waiting for the pc version. I'm having a bad time with input lag and frame stuttering. Not sure if it's the game or just typical PS4 stuff my brain has suppressed in the years since I last touched my playstation. Graphics look great tho.
Support. I'm getting a constant 300 ms input delay in-game and in menus. This issue only appears in god of war ragnarok, other games work fine. I have tried different screens and nothing changes. The screens I have access to are both 1080p (my TV and my computer monitor) and neither support any fancy gimmicks like game mode.
That said, I think I actually hate the dialogue in this game. The best description I can give is that it seems like the writers thought they were writing for a James Gunn Joss Whedon movie. The purely dramatic scenes are alright or even good (Thor and Odin's introductions were spectacular, for example) but almost all of the dialogue involving
Exactly, they could have said it was missing the "code" because the "game" is usually associated with the physical medium, especially after seeing all those posts with the disc slots without discs. Idk who these other guys are, but the title says it’s missing the actual game. Not that it came in the form of a DLC code.
That’s what many who defend cross gen don’t fully understand. They say “it looks good so obviously they aren’t being held back”, but what people refer to aren’t graphics as others mentioned, but RAM intensive gameplay features such as advanced AI mechanics, weather systems, level destruction, enemy count on screen, particle effects, things like that which heavily depend on RAM.
Mix that with duplicating assets to minimize hard drive seek times and huge textures to look good at 4K and yeah you've got a chonky PS4 game. Games also used to be limited in size by the disc. Now that games don't run directly off of the disc you put in the console developers can stretch install sizes a ton to make the game run faster.
is god of war ragnarok good on ps4 reddit
