Of course, that’s what my two books are for! Growing hair long takes some special care that, when done right, yields epic long curly hair or long straight hair, either way. One of my two books, The Men’s Hair Book or The Curly Hair Book, will get you on the right path. Good luck with growing your curly hair long and keep me updated!
Detangle your curls. A wide tooth comb or our fingers are the best detangling tools. Remember when detangling: start from the bottom of the hair, working your way up the length. Trying to drag the comb through from scalp to the end will cause the comb to get stuck in the hair–the results won’t be pretty.
Curly Taper Fade. Photo @mauriciodelossantos_. Taper fade usually means the right side and the back will be short while the left side is left long. When you reach your scalp, secure the hair with bobby pins to keep the curl in place. Do this all over, then wait for your hair to dry completely before taking out the bobby pins.
Dry your hair for two to four minutes, then rinse your hair with cold water. A third way to get long curly hair naturally is to use a curling iron. A curling iron helps to add curl definition to your hair. To use a curling iron, first wash and condition your hair. Then, section your hair into four or five parts.
